Small Cell Brochogenic Carcinoma
confirmed by the pathologic study.
Patient referred to MR to look for other
lesions in the liver and neck soft tissue,
as well as lymph node visualization
of compression in the vasculature.
Exam time performed in less than
17 min., including post-processing
using multi-modality IR (integrated
Axial DWI scan: dual b-value = 50 & 900
Coronal T1w and STIR T2w
Coils: (HNU + AA + PA + PV)
Additional scan: NCE MRA (IFIR)
to assess involvement of the lesion
in the renal arteries

No contrast agent and no irradiation,
The review resulted in the detection
of other smaller lesions in the liver and
provided a kidney vasculature check
without injection of contrast. The MR
exam was complementary to the PET/CT.
With the Inhance sequence, we were
able to conclude vascular permeability
in the kidneys.
The MR has not changed management
of the patient; however, it will allow
monitoring post chemotherapy.
